I have been using a Seirra #G card successfully for some time. I have upgraded to a new Seirra card on the XT network. I can only send email from Outlook to Xtra email addreses (I am on Xtra) but emails to other domain names are bounced with the following error message.

550 relaying mail to xxxx.org.nz is not allowed

It appears I may have to change some settings on Outlook. Any ideas?

send.xtra.co.nz should be the smtp server (I think)

What smtp server address are you using?

The setting is smtp.xtra.co.nz

Also are your email being sent as FROM [your email]@xtra.co.nz or are you using another address?

Actually my Outlook sends/receives my Xtra email, plus Hotmail, GMail and another domain. The email I am sending is from my Xtra account.

Tries send.xtra.co.nz but nothing worked.

I had the same error message sending emails from HTC TP2. I changed it from smtp.xtra.co.nz to send.xtra.co.nz with outgoing port set at 465 and SSL ticked.

Use send.xtra.co.nz SSL = Yes port 465.
