All day the EPG has failed to list any progs but there is EPG info if you press the "i" button at the individual staion level.

I'm confused. Surely the info comes from the same source so why would one work and the other not?
Any ideas?

Is your cable modem correctly plugged into the digital set top box? Are all the lights on? The cable modem is required as a return path for pay per view and also to access the EPG data.

Only the current program info will appear when the info button is pressed. The modem does not even have to be online as this info is received by the decoder.
First check that your dtv modem is online. If it is then the procedure for getting epg back is as follows.. Power off modem by pulling out power plug. wait 10 seconds then plug power back in. wait until the modem comes back online, then power the decoder off by pulling its power cord out, wait 10 secs then plug back in again. EPG should then reappear within 1min. If you are still not getting EPG, then make sure your modem is online. four solid green lights, if not there could be an issue with your cabling. good luck!!

Ta for help but :-(

It used to work well up until several days ago and I havent been near the wiring.

Yes all the modem lights are on.

I just had wife power off the Digital box and and modem as they are on on the same multi-box with no luck.
PPV and EPG still dead.

RE JAYD comment - does it make a difference if they are powered down in the order you said rather than simultaneously?

Regards

TCL 'apparently' had this problem in Welly a while back- although one person said one thing and some another. You come to expect that from them though. I had a new STB delivered (for a different reason) but apparently they didn't 'calibrate'? the modem to suit that box so no PPV or EPG for me for a while too.....

Best to reset modem first, wait for it to come back online, then power decoder off/on by pulling power plug out then back in. During the decoder startup process, it will request epg/ppv data from the modem. The cable modem will need to be online first for this to happen. powering both off/on will only result in the decoder restarting before the modem. If this still fails to bring joy, you may need to contact TCL and get them to check it out at their end.

Thanks for the help.

It is working now without me having done anything.

Next time I'll try the power off in sequence Jayd
