Hi all,

I started using Xnet close to end of April. I got the impression that my own billing cycle of each month starts from the day of installation stated in the letter I received. However as the first day of May arrived my usage meter automatically reset itself to 0%.

I'm very confused at the moment, what's happened to the rest of my data allowance from the first month? Is it because the billing cycle is actually 1st day of each month for everybody and I'd just been charged a whole month's fee for a week's service?

If not, and that I was right about everyone having different billing cycle start dates, doesn't that mean the usage meter is not very effective considering it resets itself in the middle of the billing month?

Please advise.

Your billing starts from the day of installation but our billing is by calender month so goes from the 1st to the last day of the month. If you've connected part way through the month you'll get a part month charge for the base fee + any data that you've done till the end of the month.

Last night the data reset for the new billing month. :)

Regards,

Wendy

ah, ok. so that means from now on "my" month will be aligned with "your" month?

thanks for your reply!

Yes, that is my understanding as well.  It is just a small annoyance during the first month because the usage meter takes your plan cost and adds the data usage rather than getting the exact invoice price from the server.
