Hi all

Have been having higher pings on 100/10 and 50/2 cable connection for some months. When I first moved to Wainuiomata there were no issues (moved 21 Feb 2015) we had 7 to 10ms pings to Wgtn VF server. We had a node outage around June I think it was and ever since then it's been around 30ms ping, even after I complained to VF and got moved to 100/10 speeds. I raised a fault with them after many frustrating phone calls and facebook interactions. After 2 months I got sent a letter saying its normal and operating within spec.
I did my own investigation and my neighbors get the same ping results (expected as they are on the same node).
Downloading seems OK as does browsing and streaming so I do not know if I have a legitimate case to argue. Download and upload speed seems generally OK and testing was performed with a direct cat6 connection to the Cisco device. Am considering requesting to use new Technicolor router but I am unsure how reliable it is and I doubt it will solve anything.
Basically looking for advice and whether the ping results are a legitimate concern. Others in other parts of Welly seem to get around 10ms pings to VFW Speedtest server.
Have tried to condense months of issues into this post so please let me know if I need to clarify anything. Not a device issue as other neighbors get same result.
