Hello,

I had a couple issed when i first turned the phone on, one was vodafone live! not working, the other was PXT not working.  I took the phone to the dealer and aparently when I entered my 4 digit pin it didn't process correctly, so vodafone thought the sim card I am using was still an unsold one, or something to that effect :s

They righted that wrong, and vodafone live! appears to be working ok, but I can't send an MMS for the life of me.  I assume all the settings are correct from when I took it into the shop, so I don't know where to go from here.

Anyone able to offer any insight?

Thanks very much.

First try your SIM card on a friend's phone you know for sure can send MMS.

If it works then you will know it is the configuration on your phone. If it doesnt' work then it is your account. Call 777 and ask them to check it for you.

Check what size the picture is you are taking, my wife has an N95 and if she forgets to adjust the size down from a full image it is too big to go through.  When you go into camera mode select options then settings then set teh pciture size to MMS size (bottom option) that solved it for her.

It should automatically resize it before sending.

Yep I know, just saying that with my wifes one it doesn't, they simply fail to go through, so setting the file size to the smallest solves it.  work around as opposed to correct solution i suppose

I thought about that so I resized a pic down to 30~kb which actually went through, according to my phone, but it didn't get to where it was sent (I tried 2 destinations).  I called vodafone at around 7pm and they told me that it (pxt and vodafone live!) weren't activated yet, but the "tool to fix it was broken", and I should wait 2 hours and call again.  Of course this put me outside the 8am-8pm service hours, so I'll give them another burst tomorrow morning.

Your number is not on the MMSC

Ask to log to a job to get your MSISDN on the MMSC write down the job number. This can take a few business working days to be %100 checked out!

If it gets mesy send me a PM with ticket number

Talked to them this morning and got PXT working well and good, the person I spoke to told me they didn't have a reference system for a job number though.  Still having issues with vodafone live! though, I can browse through it, but as soon as I try to buy something it gives me error 001.

this is not related to your handset.

Just got off the phone with customer support again, after they told me to download settings from a webpage they advised, I called them back and told them my model wasn't listed there.  Then she advised I go to a cellphone repair place or vodafone dealer and see if they can help me as some phones do not support live! at all.  I told her the model, that it probably does and that I got it from a vodafone dealer, it kinda seemed like she was a little stumped at this point ;p

I'll head into the vodafone dealer tomorrow morning and see if they have any further insight.

no setting on the handset is going to fix the 001 error. It will need to be looked at from the vodafone side.
