Hi,
sorry if there is straight answer to my question and I didn't spotted anywhere...
Is it possible to use only digital telephone with WXC, like the Linksys SPA922 or other brands similar to this model.
I would rather not use analoge phone, just connect the phone directly to Ethernet port, and have 2 phone numbers (2 didgital phones)
Is this possible?
Thank you
Jozef

Yes, absolutely. The SPA922 / 942 / 962 are all VFX compatible. I use the SPA942 as my home office line, and call quality is definitely superior to VFX though an ATA. The only downside at the moment, is there is no DECT cordless version of such phones - yet. See hardware list:

So does this means, that the SPA922 could be connected stright to my ADSL router-modem, without addtional hardware like PAP2T or SPA2102? As I underswtand, those are required for analog phones, SPA922 will have own MAC address and such will not require the addtional devices, please confirm.
Thank you
Jozef

How about other Linksys IP Phones like the SPA901?

Is ANY Linksys VOIP product able to be attached to the VFX network, or only those that WXC say we can??

Hi Guys,

Just to answer those questions..

The 922, 942 or 962 are able to be connected via ethernet, so as you point out this is without the need to use an ATA.

We only support the devices listed on our hardware page with our VFX/DVX services.  If you put other phones in behind something like the Epigy Quadro or Asterisk box etc, you can use what ever hardware you desire, but we will only directly connect with our listed supported devices.

Cheers

Josh
