Hey. I am on Xnet and lately have been having troubles with torrent speeds. I seem to be getting stuck at 12 kbp/s and sometimes it dips as low as 0.5 kbp/s. I have plenty of seeds and port is forwarded. I also checked my speeds on speedtest.net and they were fine. So if anyone knows what's going on, help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry bout your lack of speed... i run torrents all the time and my speed seems to be sweet - in the range of 80k - 550k per second. I live in the wellington area also.

Have you tried opening your ports?

Go to portforward.com if you don't know how to open them.

I wrotein my first post that I had forwarded the port that I am using for Utorrent. I used the port checker and it found that the port was open.

Woops sorry about that....

What kind of speeds do you get to speedtest.net? I run torrents every night and get at least 100kbps

Speedtest gives me about 3000 kbp/s down.

What client are you using? uTorrent is probably the best client to use.. It will tell you if there are any problems with the connection

I am using Utorrent, andI see no connection problems. I think I need a new router and or modem.
