Hi,

I have purchased a new NetGear DG834GV voice router modem and use it for my internet connection to Xnet. But I am having great difficulties connecting it to VoIP.

I have called the support line around 5 times but because its not a supported devise they can't tell me a single thing.

Is there any specific settings that I need to make in order to work with Xnet? is there a non standard port?  really stuck and getting no help from Xnet....

Thanks

here are the screen shots of config panel

Please take your details out .... The whole world will see your Phone number :)

The reason the helpdesk can't support you directly is that they will have no expertise on the device, they could spend a large amount of time trying to work out how to configure a box they have never seen. Very expensive resource.

Try dropping the 0 off the Telephone number for your registration... I have not seen any attempts for that number hit the network yet

Fax should use T38, prefered codec G711a

Thank you very much!!!!! That worked like a charm!

I think the main issue related to wrong codec being used.

No problem .. the codec isn't to much of an issue as we handle multiple codecs, the issue is the 0 on the Telephone number you would never register with that.

maverick:  prefered codec G711a

Noticed this codec a few times recently. Have WxC moved from prefering G711u to now G711a?
