Hello, just wondering if anyone else out there has had issues when changing plans/contracts etc.

This is both my Girlfriends and my own experience with dealing with Vodafone over the past 3 months.

My girlfriend about 3 months ago went in and changed her 'You choose' plan to a 12 month 'SIMple' plan.  Therefore not needing any of the add-ons that she had previously had plus she would get the benefit of 3months free of the Broadband 100 add-on.

Come the next bill we find out they have left half the addons active and no free Broadband 100 had been added.  She goes to store close to her work to correct situation, they say you must go to the store where you originally changed plans.  So on the weekend we head to the store they then tell us that they can't change it but need to ring the customer phone line.  We decide to call them instore and we get someone that doesn't know/understand at all what has happened.  Get off the phone all frustrated and nothing achieved.  Shop assistant turns see all this and ends up 'speaking to her manager' and then saying that she will correct it for my gf and credit back the money. Sweet

Next bill we still see they haven't added on the free 3months Broadband 100....back to the store to try and get that sorted and credit back the data charges!

Just after my gf decided to change plans I did also.  Time to look at the bill and see that they have not added in my free 3months worth of Broadband so back to the store to sort that out.  While looking at my online bill I also noticed that my address was a old one.  I asked the shop assistant while we were in store if she could change it.  I was told that it was too difficult for her to do it due to their systems and I should ring the customer service line...but hang on a minute last time I changed my address I went into a store and they did it no problems.

So I wonder how many other people have changed plans but still had add-ons from a old plan left active on their new one or have multiple dealings with them to just get things right.

Vodafone service is legendary...and not in a good way.

Just today have had different stories from the helpdesk and a store about swapping sim cards. Thought we had it sorted and called back into the store to get things finally actioned and told something different again...very frustrating for what seems like simple processes.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

G'day curlynz

Don't know which store you went into but wonder whether it was one of the franchise/partner ones.

The majority of shops which are Vodafone branded are not real Vodafone shops but run by franchisees/partners like Digital Mobile, First Mobile, etc. They look like Vodafone shops but aren't!!! (I think Vodafone may have actually bought some of these a short while ago but is running them as stand-alone, unintegrated operations.)

For a long time I had infuriatingly bad service/experiences from every single "Vodafone" shop I walked into - until someone pointed out the above to me and I've avoided them like the plague ever since.

The real Vodafone shops are Vodafone owned and integrated. You can find them on Vodafone's website http://www.vodafone.co.nz/help/store-locations/ where they're prefixed with the moniker "Vodafone Retail". With extremely rare exceptions, I've had excellent service from these for many years.

Cheers, Gobit

Guess what!?

Ph Bill came through today and still no credit from the previous mistakes they have made.

Checked out the link you suggested Gobit, and yup the Jville store I have been visiting is a retail one which I should be able to rely on.

Back to the store again!!!

Willing to bet also that they haven't corrected my GF's account also

Time for a formal complaint maybe.....

It shouldn't matter. If Vodafone are prepared to let them use their branding and sell their products it really becomes vodafone's responsibility to make sure they know what they are doing.

Stores are for doing sales you should be calling 777 if things are not resolved request to log an official complaint and don't hang up till you have the complaint number.

Tried calling 777 originally but they could not understand what we were trying to tell them. Going into the store let us show them hard copies and explain it properly and then sort out their mistake.

Went back to the shop on Sun, and hopefully got both sorted. Even got a call today to say to what was happening...seems even tho I had gone in 2 weeks ago to sort things out, it was in the system but not processed. 2 weeks to action something...hmmm...didn't take that long last time too do a credit on my GF's account(even though it wasn't done properly). Interestly they didn't mention that my GF's account issues were in the system also to be processed which we also supposedly sorted out 2 weekes ago. Although they have now sorted that out, supposedly....

Meanwhile I have the latest bill to pay which doesn't still have the corrections on it we are still out pocket for orig mistakes. Hopefully this time.....maybe....
