Whys it always happen right when you have an Auction closing:




Its been down 30 mins since 7:55 ish (maybe longer?)

I guess tradme has decided on taking an impromtu last minute easter holiday.

Damn that's a classic mistake, good old single point of failure!  In this case a load balancing switch died and they didn't have a drop in replacement, ouch!

Wow, that is a huge outage for such a big site.  Wonder who is getting grilled for it.

they probably had a surge in numbers of people browsing the exercise equipment auctions after indulging in too many hot cross buns and chocolate eggs!

That one was back in 2007. It's a different event now. Actually when I visited Trade Me after reading the first post in this discussion it was back already.
