Has anyone used these guys for Fiber?

Looking for a new ISP after 16 months of the rental we are in providing it (Skinny much to my disgust) and I am looking for a good ISP.

Will be on Enables network in Lincoln if that makes a difference.

Curious why you're considering what's probably a tiny ISP instead of one of the bigger, more well known ISPs? 2degrees has been good for fiber for me for many years, Spark is good too.

I have been with the "Big Boys" many times in the past and their are always a PITA to deal with. I like supporting smaller businesses if I can and as long as there are no red flags I will probably give them a go.

They do open term so if it is not great I can jump easily but was just looking to see if anyone else had used them.

Hmmm..

Gee, Telecom sounds familiar.

Only been registered about 18 months ago. Owned by director of "Cellwatch" and a cabling company.

The grammar on their site is awful - "is perfectly build for your needs" "Get yourself a better wifi solutions with us" - caps all over the place.

Going purely by their graphics, their wireless product outdoes gigabit fibre.

Personally, for the price, I'd look elsewhere for someone more established. When one of the testimonials on their site is from their own director......... well...need I say more.

To be fair I am not 100% if it is Skinny or the router but we are getting micro drops and youtube quality drops every video, be it wireless or wired.

Also the router will lockup every so often.

Rented house with utilities included so I have no access to the router to check what the issue is.

Skinny are generally highly regarded. Their network is Spark's and is pretty robust. Perhaps better to do some fault finding than just take the easy route and blame Skinny.

Good decision.

As was mentioned, Skinny are rock solid, and the issues you are seeing are almost certainly not caused by anything at their end.

If you can't access your router, how are you going to either replace or re-configure when you change ISP anyway?

Do you know what model router you currently have? If you connect a hard wired device & run a speedtest, what result are you seeing? Perhaps post a result from a speedtest over WiFi too so we can see the difference.
