Try copying the whole disk content to local hard-drive, then install from there. This has sometimes worked for me.

sammo450: Don't install 2007 would be one fix. We have it at school and most of the people I know like 2003 better. 2007 crashes a lot on our PCs and is generally annoying. It could be because it's being run on XP but I doubt it.

not the best advice there. have you installed all service packs and updates? 2007 is rock solid on my XP Pro installs, all of them - and there's a lot! no issues with stability or performance. Perhaps your PCs are at fault or the OS installs on them?
As far as UI - once you get used to it 2007 is far more productive to use than 2003, as is usually the case with learning new apps.
