So here is the situation. I have a Toshiba Satelite L510, running Windows Vista. The wifi died completely and I suspected a virus., I did a factory restore. However since starting over with it, updating drivers and installing everything. I still have a WiFi problem, although now I get a connection.
The wireless network connects on the laptop... it gets internet and all is fine. However then randomly every few minutes or so the internet drops... yet it maintains internet connectivity. The internet then proceeds to work again. Which means killing downloads.
How do I work out what the cause is? If its the laptop? Or the router? Or a setting?
Would appreciate the advice/help!!
EDIT- More info!
There are other computers and laptops on the network connected, however they are all Windows 7 and have no issues. Its just this one Toshiba laptop that seems to loose and gain its internet connection... yet as I said it appears to not loose the network. (Although when it does this and I check the network and sharing centre is says "Identifying") instead of the network name.
I also noticed that if I do an internet speed test while the internet is connected, it downloads fine then looses internet during the upload stage (Every time)
