Hi - The house I occupy has a Slingshot router with an analogue phone  - I cannot get rid of the phone so am stuck with the router (unfortunately) - I have  Ubiquti switch , cloud gateway and a couple of AP's, Can I connect my switch to the Slingshot router and cloud gateway to my switch ?

Basically looking for a way to connect to the internet but cannot ditch the Slingshot kit.

Any help appreciated.

If you migrate the voice line to a VoIP provider and use a separate adaptor to connect it to your LAN, you will then be able to use whatever router you want.

You'll also probably pay less for the voice line

When you say 'slingshot router with an analogue phone' - is it a phone connected to a VOIP port on the router?

Perhaps a photo or more details would help.

If the above is true, then you should be able to connect a switch to one of the LAN ports on the router.

Hi All,

All sorted now  - there was a weird (legacy) config on the ethernet ports of the Slingshot router (vlan enabled ) once cleared that off I was able to connect the ubiquiti gateway via its wan port to an ethernet port on the router and now it all works .

Well apart from vlans and ssid's from the ubiquiti switch and u6 ap's that is  - this is a major mission and does not appear to work at all.

If your ISP is Slingshot you can ask for the Landline to be move to the ONT then you are free to use whatever router you like.
