Hi.
Customer has rocked up and said that their old mac book is dead and they need the data off it.
We don't normally deal with Apple products this way, but I imagine it's not a case of just connecting it to another computer and copying the files off it, I assume there is a BSD variant file system involved.
Is this something relatively straight forward (I'll need to get some tools to open it), or are we better to send it on to a data recovery specialist? They aren't sure what the fault is but seems a major hardware issue unrelated to the hard disk (won't switch on at all and Apple apparently said not repairable).
Cheers
