Hi,

When trying to subscribe to the X.Com new amazing AI Tool Grok 2, X asks to register a phone number for SMS verification. But when I give my 2degrees phone number, it returns the error "Provider not supported"

This issue was also seen in https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=81&topicid=311253

Does anyone know what NZ if any Mobile Providers are supported by X.Com for SMS ?

Did you use +642* or 02*

I have found some international companies if +642* does not work, they have a very stuff up setting where you need +64 02*

21 (would not accept)

X.Com literally gave the response "unsupported provider". I rang 2degrees and they said it was a common issue, mmmm bye 2degrees ?

This is not number format issue and 2degrees can't provide support as well

There is just no official support between them as no commercial agreement in place

Not directly related to your query. Have you explored perplexity pro, you can choose the model (GPT, Claude, Llama,etc.) you want to run with rather than limiting yourself with just Grok.
