Recently i tried to get broadband at my house in rotorua and paid all the stuff to slingshot ($88.90 broadband and calls) and then they said i couldnt get it because the exchange was full. so then i decided to cancel my slingshot account because i was keen to explore other options and put my phone back on telecom. i got some of my money back but unfortunately wont get $25 back because of the early termination fee on the phone account.

According to my dad who handles the phone accounts, slingshot never took telecom off as my phone provider (pretty sure they were suppose to do this) and so was paying 2 accounts for about a months phone usage.

Not sure if anyone else has been through this before. Just sucks because I pretty much gave slingshot $25 for nothing. They could have at least told me that i was on a huge waiting list (8 people according to telecom and the first person had been waiting since march) and given me the option of going ahead with the sign up. instead they couldnt provide me with broadband, i had to switch my phone over to them for the cheaper rate, and got slapped with the early termination fee.

It sounds like im whining i know. And your probably wondering why i didnt stick with them but my dad is old fashoined and did the cancellation without me knowing.

any thoughts?
