Hi all, first of all apologies if this is not the right forum for this post - it's my first day.
I have a Samsung TV (model LA32D450G1M) which has suddenly lost all DTV channels and will no longer tune in any of them through the auto tuning (or manual) feature. Analogue is working and I can get a fuzzy picture through a few of the ATV channels.
I moved house yesterday, set up the TV with the digital aerial and it tuned in to most digital channels (except TV3 & Four) perfectly first time. I was watching the Sevens while waiting for Telstra to come and install broadband. Eventually Telstra came and installed broadband, and weirdly this is when the TV went wrong.
While the technician was installing the modem and router, the TV was on and I was in the other room and heard the TV sound go off. I thought he must have unplugged it to plug in the router, but when I came out the TV was still on and had the 'Weak or no signal' message displayed. I didn't think too much of it because at my last house this would happen sometimes and a tweak of the aerial position would fix it.
So anyway the technician left after setting up broadband successfully and I turned the TV off and went out. Later when I came back and turned it back on I discovered the DTV channels were all showing the 'Weak or no signal' message. I went into the menu and went through the auto-tuning function several times, with no joy. After a few times I noticed that the auto tuning is now only starting from channel 5, channels 1 thru 4 no longer even exist?
I used google to try and find a solution and ended up doing a factory reset on the TV, but the situation hasn't changed after that. So I'm hoping someone here might have had a similar problem and be able to point me in the right direction to getting my DTV channels back again!
Thanks in advance!
