I've had a quote from Samsung Repairs in Albany for the back glass and battery but repair takes 3 - 5 days which is insane.

Is there any other place in Auckland (pref Shore), that uses genuine Samsung batteries & can do it same day?

3-5 day turn around from a vendor that's actually really good!

I doubt you'd get a fresh genuine battery from 3rd party, you're more likely to get refurbished or new non genuine. Replacing the back glass on phones are an absolute nightmare, it's faster to replace the entire housing(and likely cheaper on labour).

I'd honestly take the Samsung option because then at least you've got some CGA backing for the work done in case it goes wrong. However Samsung have been really good for me in the past(my S9 had a faulty digitiser and refused to charge via USB despite no water damage, but it was all replaced and done within 5 days, the only reason it was long was courier delays).

When I replaced my wife's S7 battery it was in their repair centre in the morning and ready by the afternoon. So you may get it back sooner if they have parts available.

3-5 days is far from unusual
