I have read many threads contrasting the packet data performance of the different NZ networks, i.e. Vodafone, 2Degress and XT, but I've become curious about what influence the handset itself has on this. With the update of one of my handsets to support Tethering/Internet Sharing/Wifi hotspot, I had some anecdotal speed differences, so I've decided to capture throughout the day the throughput variations of different handsets using the same SIM (Vodafone in this example).
