The EPG on Tivo has stopped working today (2/1/24) for Prime/Sky Open.  Not so concerned that the name on the Tivo EPG hasn't changed to Sky Open since the name change in September but can we get the EPG back?  @Spong can you contact the EPG guys?  Thanks.

I've passed this on, but please understand, this is the Christmas/New Year holiday period so don't expect miracles.

Happy New Year!

This problem comes all the way from the source - even the freeviewnz.tv website EPG was missing the Sky Open data yesterday, from today forwards.  Fortunately they seem to have noticed today and my EPG grab from MHEG5 on DVB-T at 15:10 today had the full EPG back again.  So this problem should go away at the next update.

Two TiVos still not getting the Prime/Sky Open schedule. Have deleted all channels, rescanned, reconnected and restarted. Any thoughts? Birkenhead, Auckland.

The problem with the PRIME (Sky Open)  EPG was resolved back in January, but a couple of weeks ago, it's went down again. Sorry, but I don't have any news to report, and the source doesn't appear to have come back. I'll contact the EPG guys again.

Hi there - any update on this one? I noticed it still had Prime showing on my 2 Tivos, but no program guide info. Rescanned channels etc but no data on Prime or new SkyOpen channel.

Don't watch it much but I see the rugby is on tonight when I'm out - manual recording for that I guess...!

Appreciate the work that the Program Guide people put in - Tivo is a bit of a brick without it...

Hi guys, noticed the sky open epg is not working again. Is it just me? Or is it still out?

Same here - I have not had Sky Open/ Prime for several months ( since I posted) but over the last few days I have also lost Eden, Bravo and Rush, but the channels which have a +1 are still working…?

Very curious. I have done multiple channel scans and forced the EPG download with no improvement.

Keen to know if anyone is working on this…?

Cheers and really appreciate the work the guys behind the scenes do.

Just to clarify my comment about the +1 channels, those three that I mentioned don’t work on the normal channel but I do get program guide data for their +1 associated channel.

I do understand that they are quite different as far as the epg is concerned, but the coincidence seemed odd.

The Sky Open (Previously PRIME) channel 15 EPG has been missing for several months. I've been in contact and advised the long term Oztivo guy who designed and maintained the guide since the beginning, (October 2017) who was also heavily involved with the original Tivo, and kept him informed of any issues including this. However, back in December, he told me that he was moving to a new job that meant that he wouldn't be able to continue to maintain the EPG, and that someone would need to take over. He's been my sole point of contact.

Here is what he said:

We need Linux/Python skills for sure and somewhere to host a setup that will be able to generate data and feed it to the OzTivo emulator.

I emailed him back requesting more information but since that time, he's not responded to any of my emails. There was an issue last week where all channels in the EPG were missing data from Thursday onwards, which I messaged him about. The new data arrived a day later. I don't know if he acted upon my email or the source just re-started. There have been one or two occasions where a database crash has needed to be recovered from a backup, so this maybe one of those. However, nothing's been done about the Sky Open EPG.

He's very private, and regrettably I can't give out his details, but if  anyone here fits the description of what's required, please PM me so that I can pass your info onto him.

Sorry, I don't have anything better to report. I'm just grateful that we still have an EPG for most channels. I thought it may have been abandoned by now.

I wonder how many active modded Tivo users there still are in Australia and New Zealand?

Given that these volunteers are dedicating their own time to maintain the Tivo EPG, it's inevitable that this effort will cease when key individuals are no longer able to contribute. Perhaps we could establish a funding page to support them through donations, ensuring they receive some compensation for their ongoing work. Without this, I doubt the EPG will continue much longer. We are also experiencing issues with some channels here in Australia.

Just a follow-up to this. The Digital Ocean server that hosts the EPGs for NZ and Aussie has been paid for by by that single individual to the best of my knowledge since 2017. I've offered to help arrange donations, but never had a response from him.
