I found this page really useful for information on the new GoPro Hero 4 Range

Just thought I'd share this.

I'm seriously considering the new Hero 4 Silver as it comes with a touchscreen to give previews, and new modes for night photos and night timelapse abilities. 
By all accounts it's the picture quality of the older top of the range 3+ Black edition, but in a (relatively) competitively priced unit.
There also seem to be good controls over the settings now, with the ability to limit ISO etc to control noise, and to push exposures out, up to 30 seconds.
