Hi there.

Has anybody run Facebook Ads? Interested in any comments or insights in their use.

Or comments from Facebook users - do you ever look at or click on an ad - why would you or wouldn't??

I'm not sure how the budget works - I take it the pay per click means it only gets eaten in to if people click on it. Is the ad no longer displayed once the budget has been exceeded for that day?

Thanks

Mark

I have tried last year and it was really a waste of time and money. I personally don't click on ads while on Facebook. Why? The ads aren't as creative or attractive as the ads you see on the likes of Geekzone.

That's right, once your budget is maxed out for the day, your ads will no longer show until the next day.

Excellent excellent........ :-) I am the same.

So this is good I think, my brand gets out there, in to peoples sub conscious, but I don't have to pay anything as they won't be clicked on!

It seems to me very cost effective and at least 'touching' heaps of people. They might not recall where they say the brand in the future but it all adds up!

I wouldn't bother to be frank with you ascroft. If you asked me to name an ad that I have seen on Facebook, I wouldn't be able to tell you even just one.

and because the ads look like everything else on the page, you can train your mind to ad-block for you. I also can't recall any ads on facebook.

I have clicked on Facebook ads. If it looks interesting, why not? Same with any ads on a site really. I look on it as extending any free service that site may be giving me.

Before using Like Ads, our page would get between 0 and 9 new likes a day for about a month.
On the first day of Like Ads, we got 37 page likes. In the next 2 days we had as many as 49 likes in 1 day.

It does depend on the offer, the creative and the targeting.
We budget to only use $50 of clicks per day (capped) and have changed the creative twice as the creative examples do start to become "wallpaper"

Personally, I always click on Like Ads - but possibly because I'm in the industry and are interested.
I like it how the ads are targeted to my likes and are therefore relevant. Must be relevant.
