I'm looking for a good unit to use with LeafSpy and thinking of one of these
KONNWEI KW902 ELM327 Mini Bluetooth Wireless Car OBDII
Is it any good?
Anyone got any advice on one that can be found locally?

Hi
That one used to be recommended, but now is not. Here is what the Leaf Spy author says on his entry in the Google Play app market for Android (will be true for iOS, too, as far as the OBDII dongle is concerned).
"The Leaf Spy Pro application allows anyone with a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle, Android device with Bluetooth and a supported ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter the ability to monitor their battery and other vehicle information normally visible only to the dealer.
Due to a recent cost reduction (and feature reduction) many of the cheap ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapters from Asia no longer work with the Leaf and report themselves to be version 2.1. The previously recommended Bluetooth Konnwei KW902 OBDII adapter is also no longer recommended as a batch of defective ones have made their way into the market. These will basically short out your Leaf's CAN bus (or any CAN bus they are plugged into). But when removed do not seem to cause any lasting damage.
With the release of version 0.39.97 LeafSpy Pro now supports two Bluetooth 4.x LE approved adapters. The recommended one is the LELink available from Amazon. Bluetooth 4.x LE has the advantage of not needing to be paired and lower power from both the Android device and the Leaf. The LELink is highly recommended and also works with the iOS version of LeafSpy Pro.
The built-in help file is available as a PDF by sending an email with subject "Android PDF Help" to WattsLeft.meter@gmail.com"

I've been on Geekzone over 16 years..... Time flies....
I have a WiFi OBDII dongle, but bluetooth seems like a good idea as sometimes I'd like to use wifi for internet and can't when wifi connected to the dongle, so I've ordered this one.

I have a WiFi OBDII dongle, but bluetooth seems like a good idea as sometimes I'd like to use wifi for internet and can't when wifi connected to the dongle, so I've ordered this one.
My "Nissan LeafSpy OBD2 Bluetooth Tool for Android" arrived today from Stahlcars (dot co dot nz). It was $76 incl shipping and GST. Arrived in 48 hours.
I've tested it out. It works really well. The Bluetooth is liberating. My previous, WiFi-only, dongle meant that went connected to it the phone concerned couldn't use WiFi OR mobile network to do anything. The phone was effectively then dedicated to logging LEAFSpy output and nothing else.
But with Bluetooth support I can connect to the dongle AND play music on the car system AND make / take a phone call on the hands-free.....and also use WiFi or mobile network at the same time.
I should have done this a long time ago.
Here are some photos of the package and the unit.
