Oh wait, they just took 11 RPO off Lord Santner.

Drop Santner, Munro is a genuine bowler, put Phillips in to strengthen the batting

And there we go, ISH SODHI BOWLS TO A PLAN and gets the BIG wicket. Great come back. Take away the 3 6s from Jos butler and hes by far the best bowler today.

OMG another Sodhi simple catch dropped.

Thats 4 wickets in 2 games. He must be thinking he has to bowl players to get wickets.

The 5 run over from Southee is exactly the length and variance we should have been bowling in the t20, slow wide yorkers.

Very well done Southee and Boult. Thats amazing Eng are below 300. Eng will be very annoyed.

Just shows you what we have been going on about, bowling yorkers. Vary the pace and throw in the occasional one on stumps to keep them honest.

NZ have a chance, I said at start 280 was competitive and Eng would be annoyed with anything less than 300.

If Guptil or Munro can get us going fast and we can have one go on for a century we should have a great chance.

How many times had Santner been commentated as brilliant? A few times. You say he doesn’t vary his speed and flight, I suggest you watch a game.. you live Sodhi you hate Santner so you have zero credibility as per the many comments here and those rise men don’t bother here anymore. You see black caps as the all blacks, bad idea

t, the only thing we have to go one is the last games played. That's snough to make a few people think that this score is a bit out the BCs reach. I support the BCs and want them to win. However, given their ability to underwhelm, - there you have it. I just want to see an exicitng game.

haha have you given thought its you getting overly serious about santner.

i dont love or hate either player.

have a look at santners pitch map, the length and line is VERY consistent hence he gets good eco, but his batting is whats the issue. he should be able top save nz from his position but he never has gotten us home. hes not in the team for bowling, alone.

Wow Rt and Latham have done well to give us a chance, but latham has been STREAKY, dropped twice and given had 2 mis hits. None the less we will take them, need to get the run rate requred down now, Id put DGH in to hit 20/10 and out.

NOW is why SANTNER is in the team. Hasnt stood up yet hence why people dont see his value. Can he turn it around.

So the two players in the title are major contributors to NZ's scratchy win!
Maybe the player they should be looking at is Williamson. Bats like he's in a test match and goes out for 8 having wasted 24 deliveries.

And in answer to the question above, apparently Santner can stand up when it matters, although he did leave it rather late.

Some pretty average umpiring in the last couple of overs when it came to illegal deliveries.

Christmas has come early thanks to Santner Claus. 45 from 27 under immense pressure. That's what we're paying him for. Perhaps this will be the catalyst for his batting to improve. We know he's capable.

U rippa Santner, about blimmin time, 2 years and I think maybe its clicked in his head why he is there.

Hes there to score 20-40 at 120SR+ EVERY game.

Yes, his batting is horrid. Its better than Sodhi. (I like Sodhi a lot) He is a bowler its not his job too get NZ home, although, he has done that tonight. But he didn't get NZ home, another player did, I bet you cannot guess who
