KAYLEIGH MCENANY SAYS NOBODY HAS WORKED HARDER THAN TRUMP TO PROTECT AMERICANS FROM FACTS
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a full-on defense of Donald J. Trump’s coronavirus response, the White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, said on Thursday that President Trump has worked harder than anyone else in history to protect the American people from facts.
“The President was informed about the coronavirus as early as February,” she told reporters. “If he had not taken bold and swift action, those facts could have spread like wildfire.”
She drew a sharp contrast between the United States and countries such as South Korea and New Zealand, “where facts have spread out of control.”
“It all comes down to leadership,” she said.
McEnany added that Trump’s war on facts was “far from over,” calling it a “daily struggle.”
“This President has worked tirelessly, every day, to prevent facts from being transmitted to the American people, and on Election Day the American people will repay him for that,” she said.
