Is there a desire for higher resolution logos?

I'm a bit fed up with fuzzy edges (and I think my Nuc can handle the extra processing) so have been slowly preparing some vector based solid white Freeview channel logo's. They are still a week or two away from me having enough time to finish them but if there is some interest I will pop a link to download them here when done.

Not all of them have come from very good source images so there is a bit of creative freedom on the borders but they should be more than good enough for general use.

I haven't checked to see if logo's are best as square or rectangular png's, or even if there is an optimal res (I was thinking around 400x400) but it's sort of irrelevant if they're vector files as resizing is simple.

Let me know if anyone wants them, or if they know more about the physical attributes I should aim for and i'll put them online. Better yet, let me know if they already exist so I can just download someone else's images ;)

Yeah, a lot of the fringe channel logos are both old and low res on those links (I checked them all before starting this process, heh). Some of the new channels simply aren't there (yet) either.

The stuff i've done is all hi res, i made 1000x1000 ones from scratch, but have scaled them down to around 250-500px, links for them are above.  I have the PSDs if someone wants to take over and update the package.  It must remain free to use.

Ahh, that would be nice to get hold of. Happy to try and get some updated logos working for everyone.

What NUC do you have and how are you getting freeview on it? i.e Do you have a PCIE card or is it external?

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I have the i5 with IR so plenty there. The live TV can be done in a variety of ways but I am trying to get a NextPVR setup running with two USB PlayTV tuners (A total of 4 DVB-T tuners). I can then use that with either XBMC or MediaBrowser. I am still deciding which interface I prefer.

Draft Freeview logo paths

Draft output. Each pasteboard is A3 300dpi. Not all paths are perfect but it shouldn't take too much more to get them plenty good enough.

Draft V2 based on kiwijunglist's original sources.

I've modified the setup of the files a little but this should simplify things for me. Each icon is a separate psd and the border options are a linked psd rather than all built into one psd file for all icons. The borders can be turned on and off without any real trouble which is nice. All it takes is a simple process of changing the border psd file to suit (large, small, rectangle, square, none) and updating the psd's to get a different border on them. They can then be exported from Illustrator in one command to any resolution. There are still a few logos which aren't very good quality which need work and then to turn these into solid black or white versions and they're ready.

Updated logos in full 1000x1000 dimensions are linked below. This can be considered a beta I suppose and i'm happy to take requests on scaling of logos and edits but might not be able to do them all if they just don't work.

There are white, colour, large, and small rounded border versions in the archive.

Mega link for logos
