Just having a slight issue, sold my 2 year old SW150 to a buyer on Trademe, perfect working condition. Rings me up a few days later saying it's rattling.
First thoughts:
- Adjust the crossover level, could be clipping
- Replace the cable
- Try it on a different amp
- Turn the volume down to an acceptable level and work you way up
- Calibrate the system
Got a text back 2 weeks later saying it's still "rattling". So I've sent him the receipt to try get it covered under Warranty. But they won't fix it under warranty if it's been abused. Which I'm sort of thinking, if he's doing all the above steps, then it's probably him turning it up too loud or abusing it which broke it?
What are my rights? I don't want any bad feedback, have a perfect account, but I also don't want to refund a working subwoofer that the buyer might have broken?
Has anyone else had similar issues with the SW150? I can't see much online about anyone blowing them, mostly just rattling/clipping relating to bad setups...
