Keen to hear feedback from any of you that are using large or modest fleets of Microsoft Surface devices for your employees instead of traditional desktops and laptops.

I have had a Pro 3 for a year and did have some firmware issues, it also had a weird problem where it couldn't keep the time properly. Love its speed and portability, but hate the kickstand and crappy keyboard quality.

Next year we're thinking of both using it as a platform for a hardware/software solution that we sell to our customers, and possibly replacing a lot of our office desktops with Surfaces for the staff that want them.

So keen to hear any SME or Enterprise level feedback about their reliability and any interactions with MS Support.

As a user in a medium sized organisation, I don't like them. They're an ok tablet, an ok laptop, and a below average desktop, and I use it 99% of the time as a desktop. All in all they're just fussy, annoying little machines that are really expensive.

Upsides: portability, keyboard is surprisingly good.

Downsides: small problems with two screens after docking, start bar is often on wrong window (using official dock). After docking sometimes the external monitors don't turn on.

I couldn't agree more.  Lots of problems with the dock especially on the SP4.

The HP X2 is a much better machine with much better support.

We have a few at work, most with twin screens. They all seem to have quirks that the users find to be a bit of a nuisance.

They work, but I don't think any of the users are totally happy with them.
