Hi last thursday i went on to some site and my firewall said that a spyware had been found on my laptop but it could not get rid of it and i would need to download another program to get rid of it,I did a virus scan and got rid of all my virus but the spyware remianed according to windows firewall.The other day I restored my computer to a eariler date with the windows restore function.My firewall is not warning me that there is spyware on my laptop anymore,so does that mean its gone? I hope it has cause its the one that steals all your infomation.

Strange because Windows Firewall does not catch spyware. Are you sure it wasn't Windows Defender?

Anyway, if this showed up after visiting a web site, could it be one of those fake notification dialogs some malicious websites show to force people to download some other malware? Something like this?

thats the excat thing that came up on my laptop,is it only fake? it wanted me to click on this link to get rid of the spyware it siad i had.When i restrated my laptop it still had the warning in the bottom right corner,highlighted red.and it wasnt untill i restored my laptop it wnet away

Malwarebytes will get rid of it. Great little utility for eliminating the Fake Alert trojan, and a bunch of other unwanted malware.

I highly recommend running Spybot S&D on your machine at all times, make sure you keep it up to date and take advantage of the immunisation feature, if you have problems removing the spyware notifications you may need to resort to a program called "HiJack This" but be extremely careful using it as that program can remove the "GOOD" things from your system as well as the bad things if you don't know what you're doing or accidentally do something you shouldn't have.

I am in no way saying the other software recommended above won't do the job I'm simply adding a recommendation for you to resort to if the above don't work.
