Has anyone ever replaced these? The pin on the laptop is bent (I think) and the charger cable is also...
It's a kids laptop so just want it working over the holidays... any ideas / advise. Christchurch based.

Need a photo. Could be any one of many connectors, so need more info.
Yeah, depends on the laptop model and the damage.
You might get results with a very small set of tweezers or needle. The good thing about the extra-low-voltage side of laptop chargers is that there aren't any real hazards involved - it's too low voltage to seriously shock someone, too low energy to cause a fire, and there's still a lot of safety electronics and actual charging components between the charger port and the battery. You can damage the laptop but that's kind-of a given.
The holidays are probably going to be over by the time you can get spare parts from overseas, so options are basically going to be to repair the existing plug/socket, fudge together a new plug somehow,* or solder the cable to the socket/PCB/whatever - use strain relief (e.g. a cable tie) so that hauling on the cable doesn't break something worse.
* I did this with a chromebook a while back - a slightly filed-to-round 0.1" pin header fit into the charging socket and worked well as the positive contact, and a shield from an adjacent USB port worked as the ground.
No pictures or model mentioned OP. If there's also USB-C port you might also be able to power it that way as an alternative

I had a similar situation a year or so ago, but on that occasion it was the plug not the port that broke ( thankfully), but when hunting for a new charger it was easier to find a usb-c one... so I just went down that path...if it’s an option for you
