"I'd also do a sanity check and check your google drive network upload settings."

I've looked around and I am having a difficult time finding these settings. Well....not anything I can adjust.

michaelmurfy,

I am pretty much over the moon with the connection. I am contemplating the Ubiquiti AirFiber 5GHz Upper Frequency Gigabit Wireless Bridge (Pair) that danielparker has forsale (at least I think they still are). Or buying 2 new ones.

Just don't know enough to say how much of an improvement I will see vs what I currently have setup.

Or biting the bullet and getting AirFibre 24GHz...ughh expensive.

Little bit OT ---- Here is photo album of the setup I have done (https://photos.app.goo.gl/G24LN2JyypVVei87A).....first photo is where it used to be on the house. Then I moved it to the small shed...anchored it well. I am sure...The conduit will make someone cringe...but it will do the job (Not a high traffic area). Future plans ...add some cameras.

I am an amateur trying to learn things as I go along....virtually no one in Dargaville has these kinds of interest....so I am pretty much at it alone. Troy from Spark has been extremely helpful...and the valued information on this forum ...has helped me a lot.

Cheers

Will post again when I finally get to the ONT for tests.

Finally made it over to the fibre/modem location for test (wired).

Speeds look good. I tested uploading to google drive from this location and speeds still did no faster than what I posted in first post

I am already thinking of upgrading the Powerbeam 5ac gen 2 to 5XHD's.

Idk why 3 images are showing of the speedtest...I only put it in once!

Just something to try:

The Edgerouter Pro is an older router now. You mentioned hwnat offloading enabled which is actually the offloading method used by the Edgerouter X. Check offloading status by running "show ubnt offload" to confirm however the offloading commands are as follows:

configure

set system offload ipv4 forwarding enable
set system offload ipv4 gre enable
set system offload ipv4 pppoe enable
set system offload ipv4 vlan enable
set system offload ipv4 bonding enable

set system offload ipv6 forwarding enable
set system offload ipv6 pppoe enable
set system offload ipv6 vlan enable

set system offload ipsec enable

commit ; save

Also try the HG659 that Spark provide you just to iron out any possibility the configuration on your Edgerouter is not funky. Those tests are a little on the low side for an Edgerouter Pro.

If you want somebody to look over your configuration feel free to flick it to me via PM.

Also, love your setup!

The 700+ results is off a gaming laptop directly wired/connected to the HG659 at the house that beams signal. I did a few tests and hit over 800+...but the uploads went a little wonky....below 100 (will work on that later). Just trying to figure out google drive so slow when I upload.

The Edgerouter 8 Pro isn't connected in any way in the latest displayed test and i've already enabled Enable hwnat. I will post "show ubnt offload" later..have to go hit the golf course.....

I've also done some tweaking on the PowerBeams and can hit 300/300 over a 9km distance. With the current setup, I am pretty sure the PowerBeams are giving me all they are capable of giving me (can't complain).... But I want more lol...so the 5XHD's are on my mind.

Cheers!

Also try booting into Linux on your gaming laptop to iron out the possibility of Windows being a little silly. I've seen it before.

Edit: Also ensure all Speedtests are done to Spark Auckland.
