In the last couple of days the view of my inbox is different - I'm finding it hard to find emails and "reply" is upside down, and difficult to navigate, and generally causing me headaches & inefficiencies :-(
Can I go back to the "old" view?? If not is there a tutorial somewhere on the new view so I can upskill?
Why has this happened? Is it something I have done, or has it been done to me?

It's happened because Yahoo have upgraded their UI. Personally I think it's much nicer now, faster, and has more customisation.

What is it about it that is making it hard to find emails, and what do you mean by replies are upside down?

I use yahoo mail (not xtra) and have had the new UI for a while now.
I find it very tidy and probably one of the better webmail UIs.

I'm finding it hard to find emails and "reply" is upside down

exactly what do you mean by this?

I like the new UI and functionality as well.

I’m thinking they mean the way the emails in a conversation group are displayed. The newest email (the reply) is at the bottom. I’m thinking they expect the newest email of a conversation at the top.

To disable the "Group Conversations" function, deselect it in Settings
Click the Grey Gear wheel top right (next to your user name) -> Settings and deselect "Enable Conversations"

Thanks all for you replies! Sorry Ive been slack logging in. First time geekzoner and not sure how it all works! (thought I was gonna get some alerts about there being replies to my post)

Yes you are right about "Reply is upside down"   - newest is now at the bottom. I'm not used to that, but if that's the way it has to be I'll adapt!

Is there still a multi-tasking function? Can I have multiple "tabs" open eg WIP emails?

Also, when I go "reply" the font/ formating always goes back to ultra basic/ugly. Is that a setting?

Cheers & thanks again

You can set this for each thread when you post in the thread, or configure it in your profile settings.

Hi Again
Re the group conversations settings, I don't seem to have that wheel - I have:  <user name>, dropdown box, go button, sign out, home.
Though in the w/e I did see the wheel there...

Wot am I doing wrong :-) ??

settings > viewing email > conversation view (uncheck)

settings > viewing email > multitasking > tabs

settings > writing email > default rich text font (select the one you like)

top right hand corner, next to your login name is a cog/wheel.
settings are in there

if you can't see it you probably need to scroll the page horizontally - or make your browser full screen.

If you have the "gear" or "cog" icon, you hover your mouse over it and then you can access settings.

Then you can disable conversations, I believe this is what you're after.

Also Farcus, you could be right about the horiz scroll  ie i need to scroll to see the cog.
Tho I am in full screen I dont actually have horiz scroll bar ( only vertical one) so I'm pretty sure I am seeing everything

You can take a sceenshot by pressing the PrintScreen/SYS Rq key on your keyboard.
You should then be able to paste (CTRL+V) it into the reply field.
