I've currently got my personal mobile phone set up on a Staff Affinity Plan provided by Leading Edge to staff members in my organisation.  This was dead-easy and quick to get set up; however, now I want to migrate my phone off the corporate plan and back to a consumer plan and am struggling a bit here.  My fun thus far...

  1. I first went to a TNZ retail store and they informed me that, since I'm on a corporate plan, they can't do anything.
  2. I rang our Leading Edge rep, who told me that I need to get an application form from the retail store to transfer my phone.
  3. I informed the rep that the retail stores told me that they won't touch anything to do with corporate plan so she emailed me the form.
  4. This form was the worst I've ever encountered (i.e. really unclear which bits to complete) so I took it to the retail store to see if they could help me ensure it was correct (my thinking being that they're meant to supply the form to start with).
  5. Again, I was informed that they know nothing of this form and had never seen it before (and the guy I spoke to had worked there 2 years).
  6. I completed every field on the form that looked like a possible (even stuff under the Sole Trader section) and have faxed it to the 0800 number listed in the form header.

Now, I don't know where the form has gone, if it's been received by the right people, or even what the turnaround is.  I'm a little gobsmacked to say the least.

I have seen this form about twice through my four years at TRS and it not a form we issue to customers or use. In general it is the corporate exclusive dealer that must request this to happen on your behalf, as no other Dealer can touch these accounts.

The 0800 number is likely to be for the Leading Edge dealership you have been dealing with. You can always ring the Leading Edge Dealership and confirm if they have received your fax and ask for a likely turnaround time?

Hope this helps?
