I have a small client who is 8 months into a 24 month contract after moving from Intagr8 in January when that turned to custard. They have 4 lines with Vodafone...
- one on Office Net Landline Unlimited
- 3 lines on Landline Premium
This gives them unlimited DSL and unlimited calling at a pretty reasonable price.
They want to move to online backup, but the upload on the ADSL is just too slow.
They have a perfectly good PABX and phone system that (after a couple of years) they finally know how to work.
Their receptionist has called Vodafone and did not get the expected answer, so I called and got the same result.
It appears that you cannot switch to UFB on the above plan. Basically, if they switch to UFB, they will have to drop the Office Net Landline Unlimited and end up with:
- 4 Landline Premium lines
- Naked UFB
- Price difference of about $50 more to pay per month (which is fine)
- they will LOSE their unlimited calling, so call costs will be additional (which is not fine).
They don't want to move to a UFB plan with VoIP lines, as these plans only have 2 VoIP lines which is not enough so they would have to have a mixture of VoIP from Vodafone plus analog lines. They don't want to have to put a VoIP card into their PABX or buy ATAs and have them set up to convert the VoIP lines.
VDSL is not an option.
Anyone else had similar hassles moving from a billing plan with DSL to UFB and been able to resolve it peacefully?
Or Vodafone team, any other suggestions?
There is no desire to move to another provider, but they might be forced to start looking at other provider's services.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts
