Vodafone/One are aware of the issue and have made direct contact today. They advised others have reported the issue too. Sadly, just pingpath, tracert and speedtest reports wanted so far, none of which reveals anything of interest but I suppose they have to start somewhere.

Quick follow-up - the root cause has been identified this afternoon.

Depending on the timing of your direct contact, I don't think additional diagnostics will be necessary.

Has it been fixed or what is the ETA for the fix?

I’ve spent an hour today on the phone with One NZ after connecting the android dongle on three TVs in the house and a monitor, with no result. They can’t figure out why the dongle although it shows up in the Deco App and on their side as connected with good signal continually shows no internet and can’t explain why the dongle connects and works perfectly in another suburb.

They are puzzled and so am I but at least they offered to call me back.

Wow !!!   And here I thought it was just "a thing" .... I've had my Motorola mobile phone for a couple of years, and after getting a notification of available updates (Goggle), had ALWAYS needed to turn on wifi for the updates to come in.

Also, same rigmarole if wanting an App from store.

Huh! 😂

I am not using Android but iPhones and iPad, think I have the same pproblem. Facebook appp and Messenger app images/videos won’t load. I am using Ultra Hub and Voodafone supplied Tp-Link Super-Wifi on 3000/100 fibre. When I switch to cellular data, the apps work fine. Also noticed that Youtube loads videos slowly (several seconds delay between videos and ads loading). This all started near beginning of this month.

Dooes this sound like same problem, or should I open a seperate query/complaint with One/Vodafone ?

Yep, exactly the same issues here. Facebook images, YouTube buffering.. WhatsApp also won’t receive images. This is on iPhones and Windows PCs.

This is on One NZ fibre with TP Link Deco units.

Anyone heard any updates from One NZ? This is starting to bother me quite a lot, especially with pictures and videos on messenger not loading causing me to have to connect to a VPN every 5 minutes.

Vodafone contacted me Friday and requested ping, tracert data etc and this was provided Saturday AM. Despite @NickR1 advising the issue was discovered and resolved Friday, my issues continued all weekend. I let OneNZ know via DM yesterday that my issue still exists and they replied and advised they would again escalate. Now this is anecdotal, but at least for me, in the last 30 minutes, things appears to be working much better. On my TV with WiFi, the YouTube app videos now load instantly and on my Pixel 7, all of my apps updated without issue. Not holding my breath as my son is still reporting Insta page loading issues but at least for me, there appear to be some improvments this morning.

Anyone else concur?

I apologise if I was ambiguous but no resolution occurred on Friday. We found the likely cause but we're still working alongside Meta to investigate.

In the meantime a potential workaround has been identified and I believe is being applied to impacted customers this morning.

Thanks for the update. Connectivity has been intermittent all day with Android apps again stalling late this afternoon although as of 1623, both my wife and son advise that Insta appears to be much improved.

As of Monday evening (19th August) I still have the same issue - Instagram not loading properly, Android apps not updating. Wife also having issues. On One network, using Deco wifi system.

If I connect to mobile network, Instagram works fine but still my apps don't update at all.

Interestingly, I have another wifi network in the house from my original TP Link router which if I connect to, Instagram also works fine on that. Obviously also on One network but not through the Deco system. Maybe that is a different wifi frequency....?
