ArranH: I'll see what happens tomorrow, if I get no help from the store I'll message JohnR, but I'm getting past the point of extreme frustration to the point where I want to appologise to the dozens of people I've suggested Vodafone home, broadband and mobile to and drag them all away. Its just been one thing to the next and after 13 years being with them it would be nice if they actively tried to sort problems out rather than push me along from store to store.

There's always Disputes tribunal, it's $30 and after weeks of Vodafone ignoring me, lieing to me and failing to give me basic information and generally being unhelpful, I was suddenly treated like a real customer and they answered my questions and were willing to compromise. A strange concept for Vodafone I know!

I ended up with quite a successful resolution and didn't even need to go to Disputes as they settled before the court date, even though I had 13 months to go on my contract.

It was a tad disapointing because I have never been to small claims and wanted to see what it was like. :) I even had a cowboy hat picked out.

But seriously start with JohnR, he's worth his weight in gold and if Vodafone have made a mistake he will put it right.

It's very nice that John does that, but really...if Vodafone kept their shop in order (like I feel that they used to) he wouldn't need to be the "ambulance at the bottom of the cliff", would he? :(

Exactly, it shouldn't need to get to this point.

I'm actually tempted to go to disputes, it would be good practice :)

Oh this is just lovely.. It turns out when we removed the Vodafone Family from my our account in the weekend they went ahead and removed Bestmate on the other phone.

We've now got no texts left for the month and a large bill from phone a couple of phone calls. And the best part: I just tried ringing them and got told their system is down at the moment, call back in a few hours.

ugh.

Welcome to what Vodafone has become. I did get a call back from a good manager this morning but could only offer me about $100 either off a 3GS or a few free months if I signed up to a new contract. Which isn't really worth the 6 months of hassle I've had or what more I'm sure is to come.

So went and got an XT card.

I had the $560 early termination charge dropped and walked away with my iPhone after logging a Disputes tribunal claim. No joke, but it did make me happy.

I had notes dating back a year of their failures though, and a fairly extensive list of technical problems they were unable to solve (no coverage, no speed, call failures). Vodafone didn't even want to go to court, they just called me up and said they would settle. And the icing on the cake was it was someone in Auckland, not Egypt.

I didn't do it for the money though, I just was at the end of my teather having to deal with Egypt :) Thought if I lodged a small claim they would have to send someone local hehe.
