This one has me beat. Anyone successfully setup port forwarding on these? Trying to setup some custom port forwards for RDP, and web access to NAS.

Have followed instructions here: http://help.xnet.co.nz/questions/137/Audiocodes+MP264+-+how+to+port+forward%3F

Have tried with the built in RDP settings, and custom settings (i.e. port redirecting). With and without schedule, with / without public IP address field filled (not sure what goes here, but tried site IP and remote IP). Done with host IP, and local host name. UPnP off / on.. etc

On VFX provisioned device, so firmware should be most current 4.2.2W_p025_build_05

Cheers
Fraser

Should be pretty easy Fraser, as per the FAQ, just select your host then select your protocol, it will forward that port to that host, you can use the drop down list or select your own

The specify Public IP is if you only want to allow that from a single IP address, the controls give you a lot of power to restrict your port forwards. if you want it open from anywhere leave it un ticked.

I just set this up for a Synology Diskstation and works fine.

Hi Fraser,

Just ensure that the source port is ANY and that the dest port is the port you are trying to forward, this has caught a couple of people out.

Cheers

Josh

As above. I have one with all sorts of forwards and UPnP: OpenVPN, HTTP/S, Skype, Synology NAS (ports 5000-5001), Torrent to three different PCs and more. I will post some screenshots later tonight when back home.

Here are the steps Fraser .... Okay so this is annoying, shows up fine in the preview but getting cut in half when being displayed. Can the mods fix this ???

1.

2. Security Tab

3. Add a Rule , Select a Host, The MP264 is smart enough to do a DHCP lookup of the host name or you can specify if you wish

4.  Select Protocl

5. In this case I'm using user defined, but there a hell of lot of pre defined options

6. Give it a Name in my case Diskstation, then select new server ports

7. Select the Protocol and port

8.

9. You have now made your rule, you can add more items in here for that host or you can specify which Public IPs that can use this port forward from this screen, as I said this is a very good box that has a lot of options for control.

10. Once applied all is good .... This rule now allowed me to connect to the external web server on my disk station .... *** Note I will say that I needed this to be TCP not UDP just didn't want to redo all the screenshots ***

OK, I think it was the "from any source port" but I had also tried the built in RDP settings and didn't have success there either.
