For the last few years, Telstraclear has had an option on its Customer Zone web page which lets you switch off paper bills and receive them by email. It has never worked: it always says something along the lines of "Please try later".
So I've been receiving my bills by email and in the post.

I phoned their help-desk a few times to try and get it sorted out but they always say "Oh yes, there's a problem with that, it is being looked at" but nothing ever changes.

Recently, Vodafone have said that they're going to start charging for paper bills so my wife phoned the help-desk again and they said they'd done something but I guess that's just the line they tell everyone to get them off the phone.  We duly got charged for a paper bill in our most recent bill.  I will deduct it from the payment but I'm sure that will cause me additional headaches  that the help-desk will be utterly incapable of putting right.

Does anyone know the name and phone number of a Vodafone employee who isn't in India that might actually care about this issue?  I suppose I can look on the company's office web-site and find the name of a director.  They might care once they start getting phone calls...

I updated my profile in the former TCL CustomerZone 2 months ago (along with the Vodafone portal for my mobile) and have never received a paper bill since for either. I suspect any such issues are something related to your account rather than a large scale fault.

I changed my profile, took a few seconds no more paper accounts.

I can fix this for you, or escalate to the web team if there's a bug in your Customer Zone profile preventing it from going through. Please send me a private message with your account number, Customer Zone username (If you've set your own rather than using the account number to log in), and the email address you'd like it sent to. :)

Cheers,
