Spark support vs Vodafone support ... Night and day

With Spark there's an 0800 number for faults which is answered immediately with no waiting. Provide a quick description, your contact details and job is promptly taken care of with constant and detailed updates along with a final am I happy call. Super simple, no mucking around, professional.

Vodafone? You go through an initial menu, wait 10 minutes for an answer, get placed on hold as they look up details or make checks. Then they get the address wrong and the technician wonders why there's no one at the location and must have gone to the wrong business, no calls from the tech, only one follow up call who didn't come back to be despite promising to do so. Does Vodafone not know the addresses of its phone lines?

Very sorry for the inconvenience. It sounds like there may have been a couple of errors made when recording the details of the fault. Has the fault been resolved now?

What number did you call for business support? If you are not a business customer then you are passed back to consumer que

If you call 888 and you are Prepay or on a consumer plan on your mobile then you will not reach the business team

I called the 0800 number that appears on the website under contact, business.

When chasing this up and after providing the ticket number and phone line number I was asked if this was a business line. *facepalm*. That made me check if I'd called the business 0800number, which I had.

A lot of Residential customers tend to call the Business line hoping that the agents there will help them, hence the agent's question.

Of course that's why they asked but to ask that when I've already provided details of the ticket?

Did you even read the OP's relevant post? In light of what he wrote, I find it difficult to believe that anyone can rationally defend his being asked if had he a business line.

Quite often accounts are designated as business accounts or are paid for by a corporate and marked as such, but the actual line itself is designated residential with residential services (such as SKY, etc) attached and different SLA's apply. There is no way to know a line receives business calls without asking. It was most likely just to confirm, not to annoy you on purpose. :)
