Am i reading it correctly that One have no Roaming agreements for Dubai??..

I'm only there for 48 hrs, so really can't be bothered getting another SIM and was happy to live with their Daily Roaming Charge,

But,  according to their website they don't have any roaming there, so does that mean if I leave my phone it will just happily only connect to Wifi connections?, or do I need to keep it in flight mode to stop it accidentally logging on to the local networks?

I believe there's roaming, click on Europe, Asia, Americas. It's not part of the $9 Daily Roaming offer.

I've given up on ONE for roaming in Dubai. They are about to have Starlink but can't offer daily roaming in the UAE..

Better Roaming is an excellent option for a esim roaming

Daily roaming agreements are not just up to OneNZ it is an agreement between roaming partners! Maybe they can't come to an agreement

The telcos here are technically excellent and notoriously commercially challenging.

2degrees has UAE as part of their $8 daily offer.

Spark offers 2GB for $25 with 14 day expiry.

Meanwhile, One has $35 for 100MB(!).

A bit of a strange gap in their otherwise excellent roaming footprint, given the amount of traffic that goes to/via Dubai from NZ tourists.

@KiwiSurfer I am well aware the other carriers have roaming offers in place for the UAE

Interestingly, their former sibling, Vodafone AU/TPG does not include (suggesting its a Voda group thing).... however their competitors Optus ($5 for 5GB) and Telstra ($10 for 2GB) daily packs do include the UAE.

I've got two unused ones here after coming through a few months ago. Only 1GB on each one though.

@wellygary you're welcome to them if they are any use.

Thanks for the offer.

But now that I've been alerted to the fact that "tourist" sims seem to grow on trees post immigration , (particularly at DXB), we'll just grab a couple as we arrive...- + the fact most of the major Tourist joints appear to have good wifi will be helpful
