I have been given a MS Word 2013 document that requires updating. One of the things that needs updating is an image that contains a lot of detail that's hard to make out on the page in Word. Double-clicking on the image opens a full screen version in a separate window - it looks like a slide from a running PowerPoint presentation. This makes it easy to see fine details, text, etc., however I can't seem to reproduce this "enlarge" action on the new image I need to insert.

Some things I have noticed:

When I right-click on the image in the original document, the one that enlarges, I get this menu. Note that it has an item called "Presentation Object".

When I try inserting or embedding the new image I get a slightly different menu that contains an item called "Slide Object".

When I double-click my image, instead of opening in a full screen new window, it displays in a "cross-hatched" border, which indicates Word has opened it for editing (sorry, I can't reproduce the actual image outside of work so I have replaced it with some kittens). Click this image to enlarge it - because it works here!

There must be some kind of insert or embed option to produce this enlarge action, but I can't seem to find it. Even my google mojo has failed - I found one set of instructions that said it would enlarge the image, but following them carefully just gave me the edit option shown above.

Any help gratefully appreciated!

This may help , a bit

"The name of the command depends on whether the object is a slide or an entire presentation, and whether the object is linked or embedded. For example, if the object is a link to a presentation, the command is Linked Presentation Object, but if the object is an embedded slide, the command is Slide Object."

Ah, OK. Thanks @1101. That works.

In the Text section of the Insert tab there is an Object option - I was inserting the PowerPoint slide from here (as well as trying to insert it in several other ways) but choosing the option to Create from file and inserting the "whole presentation" - just one slide anyway - works.

Cheers - that was ruining my morning!
