Hi Guys
ever since i bought my acer laptop (new), its had a useless partion (i think its usless).
from my specs below you can proberbly see i have a 120gb hdd in my laptop.
The two partions i have, are your standard C: drive partion, which contains 57.8gb (Free space 3gb), called 'ACER'.
and a D: drive partion, which contains 50gb (45gb unused) Called 'ACERDATA'
now im almost 100% sure this D: drive partion isnt a recovery disk as it is just too big.
The story is that almost all my movies, music, etc is running from my home server so i havent had any use for this extra space, but now that my laptop is becomming more independent from home, i have started moving all my files to my laptop, and the extra space is despratly needed! i know that i could just go into my computer and put all my files into the ACERDATA partion, but that is a hassle and i want to be able to sort out my stuff like usual.
Just for your information, i use FAT32, instead of NTSF (it came formatted to FAT32)
Another wierd thing is that the 5gb of used space on the acer data drive contains some odd files, which are just word documents (containing alot of code). Im not sure whether to delete these?!?!? ill post some names

there are about 87 of these folders all containing word documants that look the same.
can anyone tell me howto delete this partion (whether its a good idea or not)
or can i just go into 'manage' in my computer and mark the partion as active (or will this screw up my laptop!)
Cheers for all your help.
William
