Edge is up-to-date as is Windows 11.

I can no longer right click on a tab and have the option to open the tab in a new window (there are no options and all I see is a small window of the web page).

I cannot remember changing a setting somewhere.

I don't like the Ctrl+N option and have never used it.

I've always just opened a tab with the plus next to the other tabs (or ctrl+T) then drag that tab out of the window. Still working as of now.

I have the same version as johno (which it claims is up to date) and "Move tab to new window" is still present and functional in the right-click menu. Baffling!

I am also on the same Edge Version.

Managed to get a Snagit Screenshot of what I see when I right click on a tab.

I think the issue is that the right click button on my mouse is not working in Edge (and also on the Desktop and Explorer).

At least I have something to try and fix.

Edit> The trackpad works OK.

I suspect an add-on might be interfering with the right-click action. Have you tried with all add-ons disabled?

I have in the last 15 minutes repaired Microsoft Edge, tested and then performed a reset. The reset kept, but turned off all extensions and right click is still not working.

I can't make this up!.

The mouse I was using was a Logitech bluetooth mouse. Swapped it out for a Logitech mouse with a dongle.

On the new mouse, I cannot left click, but right click is as it should be.

Do you have Logitech Options installed? Perhaps a configuration settings? Did someone had access to your machine to configure a prank - is the mouse buttons option set correctly (Control Panel)?

Added a third Logitech bluetooth mouse and all is OK.

The second mouse which won't left click is now OK (but I did uninstall all mouse drivers and then rebooted)

Re-added the original Logitech bluetooth mouse and right click still not working.

I think I can say the issue is resolved, but I have lost a mouse in the process.

I encountered a similar problem before. In that case it was when Win10 was automatically installed as a "recommended" update to Win7 at a friend's small business. After the "upgrade" no context menu (i.e. right click) worked anywhere in Windows or in any application.

It sounds like you may have found the problem, until I saw this thread I hadn't even realised you could do that :)

I've always done it a different way, that to me seems a little easier... rather than right clicking and then selecting the Move Tab, just left click and hold, and drag it off the browser, it will then move to it's own window.

I do like that method. Thanks for sharing.
