robjg63: Assuming the time does come off the network (some seem to not be bothered proving it), it probably just syncs with GMT time then applies your selected timezone.
So maybe it has picked the accurate time off the local network, BUT if the timezone on the phone is still set to New Zealand TIME then it has done the right thing?
Not sure if they can be set to pick up the local TZ as well?

NITZ knows the local timezone. One of the main uses of NITZ is networks in countries where there are multiple timezones.
