Can anyone recommend a good document management system that is either freeware or open source (Windows or Linux is fine).

Key things I am after:

Something you have used or setup yourself and were impressed with on some level
Workflow management (input a document, then track it, and create paths it must travel before final archiving)

I don't know all of its features, but Silvestripe seems like a good CMS - not sure about document flow.

The are based here in Wellington, are participating in the Wellington Summer of Code 2.0 and the Google Summer of Code...
