Hey guys.

I would just like to say well done to Mighty Ape. More people are likely to complain than having anything positive to say about a company so I thought I would share my story.

First of all, I ordered something on Monday, delivery was meant to be on Tuesday. It didn't arrive on Tuesday and I emailed them on Wednesday saying it didn't arrive as it was "Mighty Ape guaranteed". They refunded the shipping fee and gave me a free shipping code to use in the future.

Secondly, something that I ordered on Monday was part of the daily deals for Tuesday for a few dollars cheaper. I emailed them as to ask if there was any chance I could get the price difference credited back to me as it was cheaper less than 24 hours after I placed the order. They agreed and credited the price difference.

And thirdly, I placed on order for something on Tuesday. I noticed it was a few dollars cheaper somewhere else so I asked for the price beat/match. This was about 2:30pm and their daily cut off for next day delivery was 4pm. I couldn't wait an extra day because it was a present for somebody so just placed the order at the original Mighty Ape price. After I got home that evening I noticed the price beat/match was accepted only 10-15 minutes after I placed the order. I sent them an email asking if I was able to get the price match credited back to my account, however because it was accepted after I placed the order I was unsure what would happen. They agreed and again I got the price beat/match credited back to me.

Well done Mighty Ape, especially on the third bit.

Merry Xmas :)

yeah mightyape is pretty awesome, i discovered if you shop a lot with them theyre more willing to price match requests.

I tried price matching nzgameshop about a year ago (hardly bought anything off MA at the time), they said no. in the last year i spent quite a bit with them (lots of toys/dvds for my son etc). they priced matches a couple of things off nzgs for me when a friend tried to get the same price match (the next day) they said no. which is completely understandable.

ive basically bought all my xmas presents off them, my ps4 from them, they priced matched a 1 day sale for lego from farmers, so that was awesome. $3.90 shipping isnt bad, wish it was free, thats my only complaint. at least if you order lots they only charge $3.90.

And as i was typing this I realised I left something off an order I placed 10 minutes ago, went to add it to my trolley and asked if I wanted to add it to my existing unshipped order (so no additional shipping) w00t w00t, that is awesome.

+1 I think Mighty Ape is fantastic in all aspects.

I ordered a little something something on Tuesday (around lunchtime) and it was on my doorstep at 7:45am the next day.

Should probably also thank CourierPost as well. Very quick delivery.

On the topic of outstanding service: Amazon (UK).

I had a 36-disc Blu-ray box set, and found that disc 31 was defective. By this point I'd had the set for 14 months (slogging through a full TV series is hard work!) but I decided I'd still politely ask Amazon whether it's possible to replace a disc at that point.

Not a problem; a new copy was on its way that same day, with free express delivery. They didn't even ask for the old one back. Can't get much better than that! :D

Another +1 for MightyApe. I once bought a game and then it went on sale later that afternoon. I cheekily emailed them and asked if I could have it at the sale price and they gave me back the difference in credit.

I also think it is worthwhile to contact them on their website to give a comment to that particular order and give a feedback. I know the CSR (or the wider team at MightyApe) will love their customer's feedback.

And if you are one Twitter or Facebook, it certainly worth highlighting this positive customer gesture.

In my recent experience, MightyApe has been super great and totally enjoy being the Prime Ape (3 months sub for now).

Ooh, I need to look at Prime Ape. When it was first introduced I wasn't buying enough stuff to make it cost-effective but I'm buying more now than I used to...

Same wise, the 3-months subscription is only $18, so even just one or two orders each month is worth while, and free weekend upgrade if you need.

I had some major issues with MA back in 2011 and so stopped using them for a while
However in the last few months I have had some really good service, and have brought a few Xmas gifts from them

Well worth it if you buy lots from them, and it includes a Saturday delivery option (free) on your orders.

I have bought lots of DVD's from them over the last 2+ years, and had 2 Bitfenix Recon touch screen fan controllers delivered today (ordered on Sunday). I have been trying various local 'bricks and mortar' retailers in Wellington for the last 2+ weeks, but most (PB Tech, Atech, Ascent, etc) didn't stock them or they were out of stock with their supplier.

Mighty Ape had to order them from their supplier and said it could be 7 - 10 business days for delivery on the website for the item when I ordered them. They got them Tuesday, and shipped them Wednesday for overnight delivery.

The best thing I like is that they dont charge your card until they have the item and have shipped it, not like most online retailers who charge as soon as you order, and then you have to wait for them to receive the item from their supplier, for later delivery to you.

They also gave me a $5 credit on my next order once when a DVD I had ordered missed it's overnight delivery, and also only charged me $70.00 for a TV series (Steptoe and Son) when the Website price was $109.00, simply because it had been made a 24 hour 'special' *after* I had ordered it and before it was shipped, after the 24 hour special had expired. I didn't have to ask, and wasn't even aware of the 24 hour special price...

Which is more expensive than the 12month option over the same time period.

So while I'm waiting for their phone lines to open... how do I change to a Saturday delivery when making an order?  Either its not obvious or my ordering skillzorz are broken.

When you get to the delivery details stage, there's a checkbox for "Saturday delivery".  Unless you're Prime Ape, in which case all orders made on Friday are automatically Saturday delivery.

Thanks for all the feedback team, the guys have been working extra hard this year and really appreciate it (we brought in an extra 40 people alone in the warehouse to help pick and pack all the orders)

On behalf of the Mighty Ape crew, we hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year...enjoy the time off with family and friends!

Never heard of Mighty Ape but that sounds like excellent service (for a change!) and great to see it!
