This is probably quite specific to my but I thought I would mention it.
Tried to buy an item from TigerDirect. I used my US credit card and gave my US billing address but Youshop's shipping of course.
Then a few days later received a call from TigerDirect wanting to verify the order. They had no issue with the billing address since they had called my US phone number attached to the credit card (which rings on my cellphone here) but had issues with Youshop. They asked me what the company name was and I said Youshop. After a few minutes on hold they came back and said they could not locate it. When asked what it was I said it was a freight forwarder and provided the phone number Youshop provides its users. Another 5 minute wait and the news that nobody answered the phone - it went to VM. So they could not process the order. So I had to tell them to ship to my billing address where my friend would have to now go to the Post Office and send it to me.
They were calling at about 12:30pm PST on a Tuesday which is normal business hours so it's surprising and disappointing that nobody was there to answer the phone,
On reflection, despite the hassle for my friend, it will probably end up cheaper since the item is a CPU and Youshop would charge $17.5. But my friend could probably stuff it in a USPS Global Priority Bag for about $12. And no petrol charges since he drives a BMW i3 electric car :-)
