I would not go so far as to call this a deserved fate, but it might serve as a salutary caution to those considering a life of crime:

Oops. Karma maybe.

I read the thread title as Burger eaten by Alligator, thinking it probably wasn't that newsworthy...

Looks like the guy legged it from the crime scene.

"Between 1948 and 2013, there have been 22 fatalities recorded, according to FWC records. During that period, a total of 122 minor bites and 235 major bites were also logged. The last fatal alligator attack on record occurred in 2007."

Hard to believe anyone swims in the rivers and springs in Florida but it is a common activity. In that context hard to believe only 22 fatalities since '48!.

Officers on the scene are appealing to citizens to give them a hand, to match the arm they already found.

I've eaten alligator, I think, at least that was what it said on the menu.  Crumbed and fried bits, tasted like chicken, and bits of stuff in gumbo, which tasted like gumbo mainly, or cat, or whatever.

With a hint of burgler? Maybe they eat a lot of chicken.
