Can someone solve these for me?

a)                   3 - 3x < -1b)                   -2(x+4) > 1 – 5xc)                   x – 1 < 2x + 2 < 3x + 1

Thanks!

Expand the brackets. Move the x terms to one side, constants to the other by adding or subtracting from both sides. Simplify. Remove the coefficient from x by dividing both sides by it, paying special attention to the direction of the inequality if the coefficient is negative. Done.

If you are having other problems, I've found Yahoo answers pretty good (amongst the dross).

a) 3 -3x < -1
       -3x < -4
          x > 4/3

b) -2(x+4) > 1 -5x
    -2x -8  > 1 - 5x
    3x > 9
     x > 3

c)  x -1 < 2x +2 < 3x +1
    X +3 > 0   on te left
    x -1 > 0 on the right
   x > -3
   x > 1
 so x > 1
